Suicide CircusI knew the hooded figure was watching me, even if I couldn’t see his face from the shadow of the cowl. His cloak hid his true body from me, only his white gloved hands visible. The material of the cloth seemed to be velvet as it shone and danced under the paleness of the moon. He was shorter than me maybe by only a little bit, that I could see even from our distance, yet still made me shiver as he stood there, silent, just watching.
“I don’t think I should be here,” I mumbled under his invisible yet watchful gaze. He made no motion or acknowledgement of my words, just stood in front of the great golden doors that had
The Mistress's TaleThe trip to Canterbury was one of great advent’a,
Unless, of course, you were a maiden of great dementia.
The roads were filled with squires, nuns, and monks,
And gentlemen who thrived in the game of hunts.
Upon this road was one that strode in the back,
She was ridden upon a horse, mane of white, fur of black.
Upon the woman’s crown
Was a top hat, large and round.
The countenance she bore was one of mystery,
And her voice was one that could entrance a flee.
The Mistress, she was called
If you thought it scandalous, she would be appalled.
No, the name itself meant great estate owner,
One with servants and plenty of money for do

Remember“Take your medicine.”
John smiled gratefully at his wife, offering his palm. “Thank you. I almost forgot. It’s good to have someone around when you’re nuts.”
His wife sat herself next to him. “John… do you remember?”
“Do I remember?”
A smiled graced her face. “Do you remember us? Can you remember, John? Can you remember us before this happened?”
“May, you know I can’t remember anything past-“
“Try. Please try to remember. For me? Try, John. I know you can.”
Do you remember us?

Date Night - Relativity Episode 17 Michael leaned back in his chair, scrubbing his hands over his face. Though it was still a half an hour before quitting time, he considered heading out early to start the weekend.
"What are you doing tonight?" he asked the man sitting across from him. Ravenswood had come into the office to review some disaster recovery plans. "I was thinking we could head down to Barber Street. Play a couple games of pool or something."
"I'd love to," his friend answered. "But tonight's date night. I promised Mel I'd take her to dinner and a movie."
Michael's mouth puckered. "Oh."
"How about asking Sara?" Ravenswood suggested.
The CEO shook his head. "She said she's busy tonight."
"What about your dad?"
Though it wasn't the most desirable option, Michael wasn't against the idea of going out with his father for a beer and a game of darts. Problem was, "He's in S
Death. Dying. What a pleasant story, right? I could go on, and on about death, but, you would die before I finished (the pun, yes, I know.) so I'm going to make it quick.
How I got to be like this is a long story. Basically, all my life, I've been "special," and people have been hunting me. Well, they got me. In the year 3002, they can kill you painlessly and slowly. That is what is happening right now. My body is shutting down.
What it feels like...boy, this...this is the longest part. "The light at the end of the tunnel," you know, that phrase? It's actually pretty accurate. With my eyes closed, and no last words to utter,
FrUk ~ Pain No More ~ DrabbleWhy? Every time that damn frog enters the room, I get lost in his beautiful hair, clear sky-blue eyes, NO! What am I thinking?!? Gah, I just don't know anymore.
America says I mad, I think so to, how could I forget centuries of war and loss.
So, now I stand here, alone, like always, on top of London bridge. Can nations die? Maybe not physically. But mentally. The water of the river Thames. So clear. So, so....
And now I'm falling. Falling without a care in the world. Will anyone miss me? I doubt it. Would the world be more peaceful?
I feel pain, but pain no more...
DoorA dark concrete room, with a solid door completely closed. There is a young girl locked out from the world, wondering if the darkness will end and maybe she'll see sunlight. That she will be able to see her family again, and to be free from this endless torture of loneliness.
She doesn't know how she got here, doesn't know when, doesn't know where she is, but all she knows is that she is Here. Here, the endless darkness. Here, the everlasting torture from freedom. Anything is better than Here.
The door, wide and enormously tall, keeps her away from the ones she love. No one has found her yet, but she knows she won't be free from this Hell for years to come.
Her Hell had an edgy look to it, being in a place away from civilization. The walls and ceiling pitch black, a small tuft pillow under her head, her body on a creaking old bed. All necessities given at the end of the day, each with a scary, snarling male voice on the other end, promising to make her life miserable until the da
Soul's Escape Chapter 1CHAPTER ONE
“Have a seat, Valerie.” The silhouette instructed.
Valerie did as she was told and sat at the little folding chair that was placed in front of the desk. She could barely see anything. The lamps on the desk were too bright and shining right into her face. Valerie kept her eyes forward, but squinted.
“Are you ready to tell me what happened?” The silhouette asked.
“Ready as I’ll ever be.”
“Good. Start from the beginning.”
Valerie sighed and leaned her head on her palm. “Okay, it all started with a letter we all got in the mail. The letter said that we had won an all-expen

Lost AngelA detective dressed in a black pinstriped suit strode purposefully into the police office in New York City. She walked up to the front desk and cleared her throat, and the secretary looked up at her.
“Yes? How may I help you?”
“I was called here to work on the Fitzgerald case,” the detective said, her voice full of authority.
“Oh, I see. The chief will be out to talk to you in just a minute.” The secretary tapped away on the keys of her computer, and gestured for the detective to take a seat. The door leading further into the office flew open and bounced off of the wall. The police chief stood in the doo

Positively GlowingDown in a daisy-strewn valley in the middle of nowhere, lay a humble town with humble people and quite humble houses. The weather was nice and the townsfolk even nicer; they’d give their life for a stranger in need. At the same time every day, darkness was drawn over this quaint little town, with men and women alike turning in to rest their sleepy little heads. Not a sound was heard in the middle of the night; the wind was calm and even the mice had curled up to bed. But there was always one light on at the end of the block, a blinding beacon to all who dared to look out at the foreboding sight.
It was an unearthly glow, like one strai
Twin BladeSienna felt like she was melting on the couch from absolute boredom that morning. Summer vacation had just begun and she didn’t have anything to do. The summer heat made it feel impossible to go outside at all, and there was nothing to do inside but lay in the cool refreshing air condition all day. “What should we do Zelds?”
Hmm, I don’t know. Talk maybe? Zelda responded inside her head.
There were a few moments of silence before Sienna sprung up into a sitting position, “Can I tell you a secret?”
Of course, besides I can’t tell anyone. They both giggled at the thought. Zelda was after all just
Senses, Chapter 1, Page 1Eyes
The young she-cat stretched her back in pleasure of the sunlight. She flicked one ear absentmindedly and found what she was looking for. A silver tom was strolling across the camp's rough rock floor.
"Silverpaw," The she-cat padded over. "Whiterain's taking me out for hunting, he wants to know if you and Sparrowfeather want to go, too."
"I suppose," Silverpaw mewed, he flicked an ear. "I'll go ask. He's probably still sleeping." The she-cat's eyes glowed with happiness momentarily. Silverpaw bounded across the stone floor of the ravine to a hollow toward the front of the camp's entrance. The hollow was shallow, but covered with brambles. The cats had weaved leaves and grass to the top to keep out rain. Silverpaw slipped in. Within a few heartbeats, he had returned with a broad shouldered tabby tom. His green eyes were tired and bleary. After them came a white tom with blue eyes.

I look, and I see a woman.
I am not a woman.
I have never worked for a lifestyle,

I have never truly loved a man.
